“When I’m not creating, you’ll find me outside basking in everything the outdoors has to offer. Oftentimes my paintings are based on my outdoor experiences. Some of my favorite adventures include skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. Art is something we are all connected to and surrounds us everyday. It can take us to a moment, feeling, or memory - I want to capture those moments we have all experienced. Whether that moment be an unforgettable mountain bike ride, camping under the stars, or watching the alpenglow hit the mountains. I hope my art makes you as happy as I am while I’m creating it!”

Zach was born and raised in Colorado and moved to the Gunnison Valley in 2004 to attend Western Colorado University. He graduated in 2009 with a BFA in Art. An avid lover of the outdoors, his adventures help indicate his art. He can often be found on the ski slopes or mountain bike trails with a pen and sketchbook in hand. A Plien air painter also when the weather allows, He has taught many classes for the Center for the Arts and continues to do so today. Zach is also a member of the Artists of Crested Butte.

Howdy! My name is Sophia and I am currently based out of Crested Butte, Colorado, originally from Boise, Idaho. Growing up in Idaho, I have been blessed with being surrounded by mountainous landscapes, a vast majority of outstanding wildlife, and a wide selection of outdoor recreation areas. This has allowed me to explore my favorite types of photography and art throughout the years while also giving me access to the numerous other hobbies I like to participate in, such as fly fishing, skiing, hiking, rafting, and more! When I am not working on a photography project or have my camera strapped to my hip, you can more often than not find me doodling or coming up with new designs that reflect how I see the world: colorful!

Rick and Micah form a dynamic father-child duo whose shared passions for design, skiing, and creative exploration bridge generations. Rick, an architect based in Boulder and Crested Butte, has led his firm, re:architecture, in crafting innovative projects ranging from homes to entire cityscapes, always focusing on a distinctive sense of place. A lifelong skier with adventures spanning the icy East Coast to the Haute Route in the Alps, Rick has passed his love for the mountains to Micah, a talented graphic designer based in Portland, Maine. Micah, a RISD-trained creative force, blends their passion for storytelling, design, and urbanism in projects that range from academic illustrations to their self-published sci-fi collection, The Theodolite Hexalogy. Together, they collaborate on projects like the Celestial Gravity series, inspired by their love for space, family, and the built environment, continuing to inspire and challenge each other through shared adventures on the slopes and in their creative endeavors.
